Invisalign Has So Many Benefits!
In recent years, the popularity of Invisalign has surged due in the Woodland Hills area due to its numerous benefits. This treatment option is highly praised for the following reasons:
Ease of Use
While certain patients may perceive it as a drawback, opting for a removable treatment offers the advantage of enjoying all your favorite foods without risking damaging your orthodontic appliance. These trays can be quickly taken out for special events, allowing for added convenience and flexibility during your orthodontic journey.
Discreet
Invisalign aligners are quite different from the noticeable metal used in traditional braces. They are made from a clear material that becomes almost invisible when you wear them. So, even if someone is standing right in front of you, it’s difficult for them to notice the aligners. They offer a discreet way to straighten your teeth without drawing attention to your orthodontic treatment.
Comfort
Compared to the cumbersome metal brackets in traditional braces, Invisalign is smooth, making them gentler on your gums and lips. This smoothness leads to less irritation and fewer injuries. Additionally, Invisalign trays typically apply less force than braces, reducing discomfort throughout the treatment process.
Maintenance
Maintaining your oral health becomes significantly easier with removable trays, unlike the challenge of brushing and flossing around braces. By being able to remove the trays, you can ensure that no food gets trapped, reducing the risk of decay and stains. This allows for better oral hygiene, promoting a healthier and cleaner smile.
Less Appointments
With clear aligners, you’ll find yourself making fewer trips to our office. Typically, you’ll only need to visit us approximately once every six weeks. The best part is that these appointments are much shorter since there’s no need to tighten wires or make adjustments like with traditional braces. Are you a good candidate for Invisalign?
If you’re dealing with minor to moderate dental misalignment concerns, Invisalign might just be the ideal solution for you. Schedule a one-on-one consultation at our Woodland Hills office, and learn more about how Invisalign can effectively address your specific case and whether it suits your needs perfectly. We take into account various factors, such as the extent of misalignment, your budget considerations, and your desired level of involvement in the orthodontic treatment, to determine if Invisalign is the most suitable option for you.
Health benefits of having straight teeth
Little to No Cavities – When your teeth are misaligned, it can become quite challenging to uphold good oral health. Even with a diligent oral care routine that involves regular brushing and flossing, the problem of overlapping and crowded teeth persists, making it easy for food particles and bacteria to get trapped. As a result, plaque starts to accumulate, which can lead to tooth decay, cavities, and even gum disease. It’s essential to address tooth misalignment to maintain optimal oral hygiene and prevent potential dental issues.
Improved Jaw Alignment – In addition to oral health concerns, misaligned teeth can significantly impact your jaw’s proper placement. This misalignment can lead to issues like teeth clenching and teeth grinding (bruxism) and even affect your nutrition. Furthermore, it may contribute to the development of TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder, causing discomfort and pain in your neck and shoulders. Addressing misaligned teeth is crucial not only for oral health but also for overall well-being and comfort.
Improved Health and Wellbeing – Recent research has revealed a strong connection between your smile’s health and overall physical well-being. Neglecting tooth decay and gum disease results in tooth loss and expensive restorative treatments and heightens the risk of developing conditions like diabetes and heart disease. You can significantly contribute to an overall healthier lifestyle by achieving a straighter smile.
